From Passion to Community: Ender’s Journey with Pimax

On August 2nd, Pimax held a roadshow—but this time, it wasn’t led by us. It was hosted by Ender, a long-time VR enthusiast whose passion for virtual reality has been intertwined with ours for years.

We first crossed paths with Ender two years ago, when he reviewed one of our headsets on his YouTube channel, Ender’s VRcade. At that time, he was simply a gamer eager to share his love for VR with the world. Since then, his journey has grown alongside ours. He was captivated by the Crystal Light and the Original for their local dimming, sharp resolution, and immersive DMAS audio. But now, with the Crystal Super in his hands, a new highlight has taken center stage: the wide field of view. As Ender explained, in shooters or flight sims, being able to spot enemies just beyond the edges of vision has completely changed the way he plays.

It was this very passion that drove him to organize the Denver roadshow. Arranging the venue and letting Pimax handle sign-ups was relatively easy, but the real challenge lay in transporting all the equipment: three PCs, pedals, HOTAS setups, and multiple headsets. Even with the help of two friends, Ender admitted it would have been much simpler—and just as effective—to use only one or two PCs, since most attendees were primarily interested in trying the Super. Another hurdle was preparing the flight and racing simulators: setting up HOTAS bindings for multiple games and downloading large flight areas. Hotel WiFi proved far too slow to pull down maps for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 or 2024, much to Ender’s amusement.

But the answer came the moment the headsets went on. Wide eyes. Gasps of amazement. Laughter that filled the room. These reactions were his true reward. Some attendees were veteran VR users, eager to see the newest innovations. Others were stepping into VR for the very first time. Their expressions—astonishment, joy, disbelief—proved what Ender had always known: VR can’t be explained. It has to be experienced.

For Ender, Denver wasn’t just about showing hardware. It was about connection—between people, between passions, and between a community and the technology that inspires it. By the end of the day, he was tired but fulfilled, reminded of why he fell in love with VR in the first place: because the magic speaks for itself the moment you put on the headset.

That is the spirit of our collaboration with Ender—not just about playing in virtual worlds, but about building a real one, where community, passion, and innovation come together.
