Pimax Extended Warranty Policy (2025 Edition)

1. Scope of Application

(1) Product TypesThis extended warranty policy applies to all series of Pimax headset main units. Products other than headset main units such as controllers, base stations, and accessories do not support extended warranty services.(2) Purchase TimeUsers may place an order to purchase the extended warranty service through Pimax's official designated channels at the time of product purchase or within 30 days after activating the device. The official designated channels include the official website, Pimax Play(to be opened).

2. Rules

(1) Duration and Frequency

  • The extended warranty period is an extension based on the standard warranty period.
  • Each user can only purchase the extended warranty service once, and overlapping purchases are not allowed.

(2) Coverage

  • Main Components: Including core components of the headset such as the optical engine (e.g., 50PPD/57PPD optical engine, Micro - OLED optical engine, Ultrawide optical engine), mainboard, display screen, lens, etc.
  • Warranty Content: It is consistent with the standard warranty content, covering failures caused by process defects, material defects, and normal wear and tear.
  • Non - Covered Items: They are the same as the non-covered scope under the standard warranty terms, and specific provisions can be referred to in the relevant regulations of Pimax Limited Warranty. The non-covered scope of the standard warranty is as follows:

(3) Paid Maintenance Rules for Out-of-Warranty CasesWhen the extended warranty equipment encounters any of the following circumstances, it will be subject to paid maintenance:

  • The failure is not covered by the extended warranty scope.
  • The extended warranty service period has officially expired.

Paid maintenance includes material fees, maintenance labor costs, logistics fees, taxes, etc. The service process is as follows:A. Fault DiagnosisIf the user finds that the head-mounted display main unit has a failure, they need to contact Pimax customer service first. Customer service will guide the user to carry out preliminary detection to confirm whether the failure falls under the paid maintenance scope.B. Cost CommunicationIf paid maintenance is determined, customer service will provide a detailed cost quotation. After the user confirms the quotation, customer service will follow up and arrange the maintenance.
